Harnessing solar power was not only an economic decision but an environmental one that fell in line with our business principles.
Having recently passed the 7.5 Megawatthour milestone, our 73-panel, 14 kilowatt solar array has not only had a positive effect on the company's electricity consumption, but more importantly, it has reinforced ORA's commitment to the environment.
In the first four months of use, we saved the grid enough electricity to light a typical 4 bedroom house continuously, for 2 years.
Utilising solar power to reduce our electricity costs while also minimising our carbon footprint, was one of the easiest decisions our company has had to make.
We also have on site a water purification plant that supplies pure, de-ionised water to all our plating process and rinse tanks. This removes the impurities that are present in the mains water supply, eliminating staining and surface imperfections to ensure we achieve the best possible finish from our plating.
Our waste process and rinse water is then fully treated in an effluent process plant to normalise Ph levels and to remove hard elements and contaminants before finally being released into the waste system.
At Ora Technologies we have a reputation for quality and service gained by offering expert advice in the manufacturing and plating of components both in high and low volumes.
Our experience is in a variety of industries from specialised niche industries to automotive and medical.
We are accredited to BS EN ISO 9001:2008 and are committed to Quality & Service.

Had a little envelope arrive the other day that had some simply glorious gold-coloured Jubilee Clips inside and they were a kind gift from regular reader, Gary Sell.
Further checking revealed that Gary is part of a Bristol-based family run company called ORA Technologies and the clips he'd sent me were a small sample of what they offer their clients, including some real blue chippers, in terms of plating expertise. Turns out the items he'd sent me were plated in 24K gold on stainless steel
This all got me thinking about how cool these would look on a blinged-up engine bay, and for those that want the very best the[se] could be unbeatable and THE perfect finishing touch.
I have just received my package of the castings and I am so happy. What an improvement.
Thank you for your problem solving and model making and all in good time too.
